MWES DISMISSAL PLAN

Bus riders, walkers and Day Care students will be dismissed at 2:00. Parent pick-ups and carpool students will be escorted to the cafeteria at 2:05. If you plan to pick up your child after school, please park in front of the large playground on Belvedere. The road in front of the school from the cross walk down to Mazarick Park will be blocked from 1:55-2:10 so that students riding buses will be able to load the buses and depart campus safely. Staff members will be monitoring students in the cafeteria. If you are picking up your child, please come prepared with ID. There will be a sign-out sheet in the cafeteria for parent pick-ups and carpool students. Please make sure that you have listed on your child’s check-out form ALL OF THE ADULTS THAT ARE ALLOWED TO CHECK OUT YOUR CHILD. If you plan to check your child out of school, please do so before 1:45. Because of daycare traffic, there will be no check-out through the front office between 1:45 and 2:00.

If you need to make changes to your child’s transportation, after-school plan, or add/delete who can check your child out, PLEASE MAKE THOSE CHANGES IN WRITING. WE CANNOT ACCEPT CHANGE REQUESTS MADE BY PHONE.

As before, our school day begins at 7:30. Please do not drop your children off at school before 7:30. No one is available to supervise your child before 7:30. Our academic day begins at 8:00. If you arrive after 8:05, please come into the office and check your child in for the school day.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

We welcome you and encourage your support and involvement in your child’s educational journey. Please see Mr. Charles Brown, our parent facilitator for more information and to sign up to volunteer. Mrs. Raymes will hold a Parent Volunteer Workshop on Tuesday, September 9 from 9:30-11:30. Please see Mr. Brown or Ms. Pat Jones to register for this workshop. Parents, we are currently in need of COPIER paper. We are asking for Copier paper donations for our teachers. If you are able to contribute, please bring in your donations to your child's teacher. Also don't forget we are having a Cookie Dough fundraiser that will last till April 20th. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Brown at (910)-484-9064.
